Modern Slavery Statement
Harrow Movers Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Harrow Movers has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains. Harrow Movers is committed to conducting all aspects of its activities ethically and with integrity, in full compliance with applicable laws.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Harrow Movers operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not tolerate any form of forced labour, servitude, bonded or child labour, or any practices that exploit individuals or deny them their fundamental rights. This applies to all aspects of our operations, including our employees, contractors, agency workers, and all tiers of our supply chain.
All individuals working for or on behalf of Harrow Movers are expected to act honestly and responsibly, to uphold our values, and to report any concerns regarding modern slavery or unethical conduct. Any breach of this policy by an employee may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. For suppliers and contractors, non-compliance may result in review, suspension, or termination of the business relationship.
Our Supply Chain and Due Diligence
Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, fuel, equipment, packaging materials, storage facilities, and labour and support services. We recognise that certain parts of our supply chain may present a higher risk of modern slavery, particularly where work is low paid, seasonal, or subcontracted.
To address these risks, Harrow Movers undertakes due diligence on new and existing suppliers, proportionate to the level of risk. This includes assessing the nature of the goods or services provided, the location from which they are sourced, and any known sector-specific issues. We expect suppliers to demonstrate robust labour standards, fair pay practices, and respect for human rights.
Supplier Audits and Compliance
Harrow Movers is progressively implementing supplier audits and review processes to verify compliance with our modern slavery requirements. Depending on the level of risk, our approach may include self-assessment questionnaires, review of policies and procedures, and, where appropriate, on-site visits or inspections.
Suppliers are expected to cooperate fully with any audit or request for information relating to labour practices, recruitment methods, working conditions, and compliance with local and international labour laws. Where concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to agree corrective actions and reasonable timescales. Persistent failure to address issues may result in the reduction or termination of business with that supplier.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities
Responsibility for overseeing this statement and the associated controls rests with the senior management team at Harrow Movers. Managers are responsible for ensuring that their teams understand and comply with our zero-tolerance stance and report any concerns promptly.
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our employees, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management. Training and guidance are provided so that staff can identify potential indicators of exploitation, understand how to escalate concerns, and contribute to strengthening our controls.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Harrow Movers encourages anyone who becomes aware of, or suspects, modern slavery in our operations or supply chains to report their concerns without delay. Concerns can be raised internally through line management or via established whistleblowing channels within the company.
Reports may be made confidentially, and we will take all concerns seriously. We are committed to protecting anyone who raises a concern in good faith from victimisation, retaliation, or detrimental treatment. All reports will be assessed, and where appropriate, investigated promptly and thoroughly, with remedial action taken as necessary.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Harrow Movers recognises that combating modern slavery and human trafficking is an ongoing responsibility that requires continuous improvement. We will continue to review and enhance our policies, risk assessments, due diligence procedures, and supplier engagement activities to strengthen our defences against exploitation.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually by senior management to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and aligned with legal and regulatory requirements. Updates may also be made sooner if there are significant changes in our business operations, supply chain, or relevant legislation.
This statement represents Harrow Movers current approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking and reflects our commitment to operating with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights across all areas of our business.
